Βιογραφικό

Ο Χρίστος Τσιαμούλης γεννήθηκε το 1961 στην Αθήνα. Σπούδασε κιθάρα και θεωρητικά στο Εθνικό Ωδείο Αθηνών. Από το 1980 στράφηκε στη μελέτη της Ελληνικής παραδοσιακής μουσικής και την εκμάθηση των παραδοσιακών οργάνων όπως το ούτι, το πολίτικο και το στεριανό λαούτο, τον ταμπουρά και τον ταμπουρά με δοξάρι, την πολίτικη λύρα, τον κεμεντζέ, το νέι, το καβάλ και άλλα. 

Πήρε το δίπλωμα Βυζαντινής μουσικής σπουδάζοντας πλάι στο Λ. Αγγελόπουλο και απέκτησε πολλούς μαθητές στη θεωρία και την πράξη της εκκλησιαστικής μουσικής. Από το 1985 διδάσκει σε Ωδεία και μουσικές σχολές: πνευματικό Κέντρο Περιστερίου, Ίδρυμα Γουλανδρή - Χορν, Ωδείο Σκαλκώτα, Σχολή Περισσού, μουσικό Γυμνάσιο Χαϊδαρίου, Μουσείο Λαϊκών Οργάνων, Δημοτικό Ωδείο Πατρών.Με τη δημιουργία του συγκροτήματος “Δυνάμεις του Αιγαίου” εγκαινίασε από το 1985 μια δημιουργική πορεία πάνω στα βήματα της παράδοσης αλλά και στις μουσικές τάσεις του σύγχρονου ελληνικού τραγουδιού.

Christos Tsiamoulis was born in 1961 in Athens. He studied guitar and music theory at the National Conservatory of Athens. From 1980 onward, he turned to the study of Greek traditional music and the learning of traditional instruments such as the oud, the Constantinopolitan and mainland laouto, the tambouras and bowed tambouras, the Constantinopolitan lyra, the kemenche, the ney, the kaval, and others.

He earned a diploma in Byzantine music while studying alongside L. Angelopoulos and went on to teach many students both the theory and practice of ecclesiastical music. Since 1985, he has taught at conservatories and music schools, including the Peristeri Cultural Center, the Goulandris–Horn Foundation, the Skalkottas Conservatory, the Perissos School, the Haidari Music Gymnasium, the Museum of Folk Instruments, and the Municipal Conservatory of Patras. With the creation of the ensemble “Forces of the Aegean,” he launched in 1985 a creative path rooted in tradition while also engaging with the musical trends of contemporary Greek song.
